History of Bowling !


- BOWLING -

Bowling has become one of the most popular sports in the world. It is a great sport for many reasons. The main reason is that it is great fun and a great way to spend time with friends and family.The game requires lots of techniques and handiness in order to be properly played, qualities that can be improves towards exercise and practice. The most common types include ten-pin, nine-pincandle-pinduck-pin and five pin bowling. The earliest most primitive forms of bowling can be dated back to Ancient Egypt. The first standardized rules were established in New York City on September 9, 1895. Today , bowling is enjoyed by 95 million in more than ninety countries worldwide and continues to grow through entertainment media such as video games for home consoles and handheld devices.




-TYPES OF PIN-

Five main variations are found in North America, varying especially in New England and parts of Canada :

Ten-pin bowling: largest and heaviest pins, bowled with a large ball with finger holes, and the most popular size in North America.

Nine-pin bowling: pins usually attached to strings at the tops, uses a ball without finger holes.

Candle-pin: tallest pins, thin with matching ends, and bowled with a handheld ball.

Duck-pin: short, squat, and bowled with a handheld ball.

Five-pin bowling: tall, between duckpins and candle-pins in diameter with a rubber girdle, bowled with a handheld ball, mostly found in Canada.
